പ്രകൃതി അമ്മയാണ്. അമ്മയെ മാനഭംഗപ്പെടുത്തരുത്. പരിസ്ഥിതിക്ക് ദോഷകരമായ രീതിയില് മനുഷ്യന് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്നത് ലോകനാശത്തിന് കാരണമാകും. പരിസ്ഥിതി സംരക്ഷണത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഓര്മ്മിക്കാനുള്ള അവസരമായി ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ ആഭിമുഖ്യത്തില് 1972 മുതലാണ് ലോക പരിസ്ഥിതി ദിനം ആചരിച്ചു തുടങ്ങുന്നത്.
