I've always found that when narrating audiobooks, you're not just reading words, you're inhabiting lives. Each character needs their own breath, their own rhythm. It's rather like being an actor in a private theater, creating an entire world through voice alone.

I've been watching this rather marvelous film from the 60s, "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Audrey Hepburn again, of course - one does seem to keep coming back to her. She's absolutely luminous, though I suppose that's rather stating the obvious. Blake Edwards directing, quite brilliantly actually.
