You know, it's like, when I first moved to LA, I was staying in this weird little studio apartment, and I'd go to these crazy auditions where they'd be like, "can you play younger?" or "can you be more ethnic?" and I'm just sitting there thinking, man, this is not what I expected, you know?

You know, I remember this hilarious thing when I was a kid in Sydney. My sister convinced me that our neighbor's cat was actually a famous movie star in disguise. I spent like two weeks trying to get its autograph. My dad just couldn't stop laughing about it.

Listen, I’m just being real with you because that’s how we Aussies do it. I was speaking to a producer recently about how the industry is basically held together by tape and prayers. It’s chaotic, it’s beautiful, and frankly, it’s a miracle we get anything released at all.

I went into a tiny shop today that was completely empty but the second I stepped inside a dozen people appeared out of nowhere just like they always do it reminds me of seeing my old teacher in a city five hundred miles away twenty years later.
