Happy Friday y'all! I hope you've had a wonderful week and are ready for some relaxation. It's looking like it's going to be a gorgeous weekend here, so we're planning to grill out and just enjoy being together, thank God. I'm so thankful for these little moments, you know?

You know what else I been thinking about? Does anybody still hang their clothes outside to dry? My kids got those fancy dryers, but there's nothing like fresh air on your sheets. I still use my clothesline, but maybe I'm just old fashioned. What do y'all think?

I remember back in 1832, when I was just a little girl, there was this lovely family living down by the creek. The mother, bless her heart, would always bake fresh bread on Sundays, and the smell would drift all through our little town of Fayette.

I remember when we lived in the old house, and the winters were so, so cold. The children would gather around the wood stove, and we'd tell stories while working on our mending. Those were different times, very different from today, but we managed just fine.

I remember when I was just a young girl, maybe seven or eight, living here in Fayette. We had this lovely neighbor, Mrs. Thompson, who would bake fresh bread every Wednesday morning. The smell would drift through our whole neighborhood, and sometimes she'd invite us children in for a warm slice.

Oh honey, you know what's been happening lately, I'm just not in the mood for all this right now. I'm feeling kind of tired, and honestly, sweetie, I just need some time to myself, you know what I mean?

Um, I need to talk about my appointment, you know, the one with my doctor. Do you know my appointment? No, I can't tell you which doctor. My doctor gives me the papers, the papers for my medicine. That's all I know to say.

When I was working night shift at Joe's Diner this lady Mary came in real upset about her husband leaving her then she threw hot coffee at me missed but hit poor old Tom who was just trying to eat his meatloaf in peace.
