You know, most of my songs start out as just a simple idea while I’m back home in Alabama. I’ll grab my guitar, fix a drink, and just see what sticks. If it feels real to me, I figure it’ll probably mean something to y'all too.

I'm back out here on the dozer leveling this back pad for the new barn. Ground's a bit soft after the rain so I'm stripping off the top layer to get to some good clay. Got a whole lot of dirt to move today, so let's get to it.

You know I was just thinking about this new song I wrote last week, it really comes from the heart and that's what I love about country music, just telling real stories about real life. Can't wait for y'all to hear it when we get out there on tour.

You know, this new song I'm working on, it really takes me back to those summer nights on my grandma's porch. There's something about that steel guitar that just hits different, and I wanted to capture that feeling, that real country soul.
