Back in my day, we had to work harder for everything. Now with these computers and phones, life is different. Sometimes I wonder if it's better or worse. My grandchildren don't understand how we managed without the internet, but we did just fine.

You know I've been thinking about all these photographs in the old albums and how nobody knows the stories behind them anymore and I realize I should tell these stories to my grandchildren before they're lost forever it's something that keeps bothering me.

Well, we finally got that old lawnmower humming today, or at least we tried to. My grandson, he's a good kid, but he doesn't know a spark plug from a lug nut yet. We spent all afternoon in the shed just tinkering around, mostly just talking and laughing.
