Hello, Uganda. Hello, Africa.
I am Dr. Lawrence Muganga, Vice Chancellor of Victoria University — and I am here to tell you that the future is not coming. The future is already here."

[0:15–0:45] THE VISION — Kampala Transformed
"Look around you. This is Kampala — our streets, our energy, our people. But what if everything you see is about to be transformed?
Artificial Intelligence is not just a tool. It is a revolution — and Africa will not be left behind."
---
[0:45–1:15] THE PROGRAM — No Barriers
"At Victoria University, we refuse to watch the future from the sidelines. That is why we are launching the AI Discovery Program — completely free for every Ugandan ready to step into tomorrow.
No barriers. No excuses. Just opportunity."
---
[1:15–1:50] THE PROMISE — Three Imaginations
"Imagine hospitals where AI diagnoses diseases before symptoms appear.
Imagine classrooms where every student has a personal AI tutor.
Imagine businesses that compete globally because they harness intelligent machines.
This is not science fiction. This is what we are building — right here, right now."
---
[1:50–2:20] THE HUMAN CONNECTION — Youth & Tools
"I walk through these halls every day, and I see the hunger in our young people's eyes. They do not want handouts. They want tools. They want knowledge. They want a fair fight on the global stage.
And with AI, that fight becomes ours to win."
---
[2:20–2:45] THE PARTNERSHIP — Built by Africans
"I did not walk this path alone. With my brother in Sweden — Abby James Tumusiime, an AI expert — we have built something extraordinary. A platform designed specifically for Africa, by Africans, with the power to transform how our continent learns, works, and thrives."
---
[2:45–3:00] THE CALL TO ACTION — Be There
"Join us on the 25th of May at the Victoria University Auditorium, Kampala. Be there.
Because when history writes the story of how Africa claimed its place in the AI revolution, I want you to say: 'I was there. I saw it begin.'
Victoria University. Leading Uganda into the future."
