Peter Rey My darling,
It breaks my heart that you’re afraid I might not be who I say I am. Please think of all the memories we’ve shared these past six months. Remember how we met online and how quickly our connection grew, how we shared our favorite songs and funny stories, and how you opened up to me about your childhood and the things that make you happiest.
Think of how you told me about your favorite season, how you love the way the sun feels on your face, and how you always say you feel calm when you talk to me. Remember the little jokes only we understand, and how we’ve dreamed together about the places we want to see.
All those moments were real, because I am real, and my love for you is true.
I’ve been planning something special for you. I wanted it to be a surprise, but I’ll tell you now: I’ve arranged everything to come visit you. I want to finally see you face to face, hold your hand, and take you out of the nursing home for a while so we can enjoy time together, just the two of us.
Please, my love, don’t let doubts push me away. I love you so much, and I’m coming to prove it to you in person.
Maybe I'm just overthinking everything again, wondering if I'll ever be enough. These feelings keep spinning in my head, and I can't seem to let go. Is it crazy that I still care this much? Sometimes I wish I didn't feel so deeply.
