So, I was talking to my sister the other day, and she tells me this crazy thing about our grandmother, like, how she used to be this amazing piano player, which I never knew. And then I called my mom, and she's like, "Oh yeah, she played Carnegie Hall!" What? How did I never know this?

And then she told me, she told me this crazy thing, like totally unexpected, you know? She said her sister, her sister was actually keeping this huge secret all along, and I was like, my mind was completely blown.

Life in the Outer Banks is all about who you know and where you belong. For us Pogues, it's the marsh, the waves, and looking out for one another. We don't have much, but we have the freedom to do whatever we want out here.

You know, I remember when I first started my new position, I was so nervous, and I told my family, "I'm going to learn everything I can," and they said, "But how?" and I said, "Well, one day at a time," and that's exactly what happened.

So like, we were messing around with these filters on my phone, right? And Mike was doing this thing where, like, it made his face look super tiny, and we were all just dying laughing. Someone walked by and thought we were taking actual pictures, it was so weird.

I finally snapped right back into it today, woke up at like five or five-fifteen, one of those times. I got off the rhythm a little bit this week, but now I’m heading to a meeting with the team. Actually, it feels really good to be back.
