After the 12th came the 13th, 14th, and then on February 15—right on the day after Valentine’s Day—a stray corpse was found near a highway in Bangalore. The body was that of a woman. Someone called the police, who arrived at the scene and took the body to the morgue. The body was kept at the mortuary because a missing complaint had been filed three days earlier in Bangalore, and the body matched much of the description provided by her husband.
