You know, back when we were recording, we'd have this old mixing board, and I learned so much just sitting there watching how everyone used it. When nobody was around, I'd spend hours just figuring out what each channel did, learning the EQ, just really getting to know the equipment.

You know, back when we were recording the album, we had this old Neve console, and I would just sit there for hours, learning how the EQ worked, figuring out different sounds, you know, just experimenting with the board whenever the studio was empty.

I was just sitting there, I mean, picking at the guitar, and this melody just kind of drifted in. I was like, is that something I already heard? It felt so familiar, you know, just floating in the air until it finally clicked into a real song.

I mean, when you're in the studio, you just kind of let the music breathe and see where it takes you. I was like, let's just try this one riff and suddenly the whole song started coming together. It’s that feeling of just catching a moment before it’s gone.
