Yeah, looking back at my music now, I realize I was trying too hard to fit into what everyone else was doing. Like, I was so focused on making something that would work on radio that I forgot about making something that would work in my heart.

You know what's amazing about Blade Runner? There's this scene where they're talking about memories, really deep stuff. It reminds me of this song I wrote called TK515, which is all about how we connect with our past, our emotions, really really powerful stuff.

Yeah I mean when I found this new role it was like everything clicked you know like the character just felt real and authentic and I could bring my whole self to it like the way I talk with my family and friends and it just felt right man.

And it's like when you're trying to understand something really big, it's not always clear right away, and maybe you're thinking about it but it's kind of distant, like you're watching it through a window or something, and so your brain just kind of processes it differently.
