Nathan Mitchellによるhi everyone! My name is Jhonatam Pinilla, Today, I want to share a fun, yet slightly embarrassing, experience from my childhood.
When I was three years old, my dad, Camilo, had a trout pond near our house. Very punctually, he used to give them food so they could grow strong and healthy.
One day, he was filling a bucket with the fish food, went towards the pond, and began to feed them. I remember watching him: he threw the food, and the fish came out to eat! My sister Jessica and I went down quickly to see them. They looked marvelous, and it was something very beautiful to see. No matter how many times we saw it, we loved how they peeped out of the water. We felt so amazed by the scene!
When Dad finished, he took his bucket and went back to the house. My sister and I were sad because we wanted to keep watching the trout.
But then, my sister had an idea! She ran quickly inside and brought more food for the fish. She wanted to feed them just like my dad had done.
She began to feed the fish, but my sister didn't let me do it; she probably thought I was too young or that I wouldn't be able to do it. She wanted to feed them alone. We got angry and began to fight for the bucket! My sister and I started pulling, and since she was two years older than me, she had more strength and won.
However, she didn't leave it at that; she pushed me! I fell directly into the pond. I didn't know how to swim! It was terrifying.
She got scared instantly. She ran quickly to the house to tell Dad. She told him I was drowning! Dad had been watching TV, but he didn't hesitate! He dashed out, and he even says he slipped on the floor. He jumped straight into the water to save me!
Dad rescued me. I was very scared, but he didn't get angry; he was happy that I was okay, and we went back to the house.
I have never forgotten that day. My dad says I had been holding on to the edge. What I remember is very little, but that is how they narrate the story to me. Before doing this activity, my sister told me not to do it because she was embarrassed, but I am not embarrassed, so I am going to remind her through this video!
