Once upon a time, in a lush green forest, two little panda brothers, Pogo and Roro, lived happily. They spent their days playing, running around, and coming up with new games. Their jungle was vast, filled with tall bamboo trees, a sparkling river flowing through the middle, and a variety of animals living in harmony. The two brothers loved climbing trees, splashing in the river, and playing hide-and-seek with other young animals.
One fine day, while they were having fun, a strange fox approached them. She was known as “The Green Scarf Fox” in the jungle because she always wore a long green scarf.
She smiled sweetly at Pogo and said, "Little panda, do you like sweets?"
Pogo, being a playful and innocent little panda, immediately got excited. "Who doesn't like sweets?" he thought.
The fox leaned in closer. "If you come with me, I'll take you to a place where you can get lots and lots of sweets!"
Pogo, without thinking twice, agreed.
His elder brother, Roro, who was slightly more mature and cautious, noticed them walking away. At first, he thought it was just another game, but after a while, he started feeling uneasy.
"Where are they going? This doesn’t feel right!" Roro thought.
Back then, young animals in the jungle weren’t taught about stranger danger. But Roro had a sharp mind. He decided to turn back and ran as fast as he could to his mother, Jojo Panda.
As soon as he told her that Pogo had left with a stranger, her heart sank. Without wasting a second, she rushed out into the jungle, calling out Pogo’s name.
She searched everywhere—under trees, near the river, behind bushes—but there was no sign of Pogo or the Green Scarf Fox.
The Endless Search
Days turned into weeks.
Weeks turned into months.
Months turned into years.
Jojo Panda never stopped searching. She asked every animal she met, but she always got the same heartbreaking response:
"No news. No clues. No sign of Pogo."
With time, the entire jungle came to know about the lost panda cub.
The Elephant Security Team searched every corner,
The Owl Detectives flew every night looking for clues,
The Fish Scouts checked the riverbanks and water paths
But nothing was ever found.
Still, Jojo Panda never lost hope.
A New Life for Pogo
Meanwhile, far away in another jungle, Pogo was taken in by a kind bear couple who raised him as their own. They loved him dearly, but they never told him the truth about his past.
Pogo always felt like something was missing. He had memories of a different place, but he could never fully recall them.
As he grew up, he became a strong and brave panda. Eventually, he joined the Jungle Protection Squad, a team of animals dedicated to keeping the jungle safe. He became one of the best protectors, fighting off threats and helping others, unaware that his real family was still searching for him.
A New Hope
Decades passed. Roro’s niece, Lita, a brilliant young loris, took an interest in uncovering family history. She discovered a new technique that matched lost animals with their families through a genetic connection.
One day, while running a test, she found a shocking match.
A panda, living in a distant jungle, had a 22% DNA match with her!
Lita couldn’t believe it. Could this be the long-lost Uncle Pogo?
Excited, she contacted the Jungle Protection Squad for help. When they approached Pogo and told him the story, he was in disbelief.
"That can't be true! I've lived here all my life! I don’t remember any other home!" Pogo exclaimed.
But when the final DNA results came in, the truth was undeniable.
Pogo was the very same panda cub who had been taken away all those years ago.
Reunion After 73 Years
After 73 long years, the day finally arrived.
Pogo returned to his real home, his real jungle.
Standing there, waiting for him, was his elder brother, Roro.
As soon as their eyes met, they ran toward each other and hugged tightly.
They had been separated as cubs, but now, as old pandas, they were reunited.
But one thing was missing.
Their mother, Jojo Panda, was no longer alive to see this moment.
Tears filled Pogo’s eyes.
His mother had never given up on him, but she was gone before she could see him return.
Yet, in his heart, he felt that somehow, somewhere, she knew the truth—her son was alive.
From that day forward, Pogo made a promise to keep his mother's spirit alive.
A New Law in the Jungle
The jungle animals never wanted another young cub to go missing again.
So, they made a new rule:
"If any stranger talks to a young animal, they must inform their parents first. No one should go anywhere alone."
From then on, Pogo’s story wasn’t just a memory—it became a lesson for every animal in the jungle.
So that no little panda would ever be lost again.
