Hey everybody, Lionel Richie here, and I'm so excited to tell you about something special. We're creating a music festival right here in Tuskegee, bringing together amazing talent from all over. This is about celebrating our heritage, our music, and most importantly, bringing people together. Let's make it happen!

You know, my grandmother told me something I'll never forget. She said, "Success isn't about having all the answers, it's about making the right choices when life tests you." And let me tell you, those words saved me more times than I can count.

“Hey Sue, I just wanted to reach out and share what’s been on my mind. I’ve sent a few messages over the past days, but I haven’t heard back — I see you’ve viewed them without replying. 💔 Honestly, that makes me feel a little sad, because it feels like I’m talking to a wall, and I never want to force a conversation with you. I just hope you’re doing well and that you have a truly wonderful day. ❤️”

You know, when people ask me about songwriting, I always tell them it's not about the notes on the page, it's about what's in your heart. Music is that universal language that speaks to everybody's soul. So when you feel it, that's when you know it's real.

You know, I walked into this studio one day, didn't know anything about producing, but I had this melody in my head. And these guys said, "Can you write songs?" I said "Sure I can," even though I'd never written one before. Sometimes you just gotta jump right in.

You know what's funny? I was in the studio one day, and my daughter walks in while I'm recording. She goes, "Daddy, that's not how you dance!" And I'm thinking, here's my own child giving me dance lessons. That's when you know times have changed!

You know, it's funny, I remember when we first started touring with the Commodores. My mama packed me this huge suitcase full of sandwiches, like I couldn't find food on the road. And every show, I'd open that suitcase and the guys would just laugh and laugh.
