por Kaizu PHwas lost. Everyone seemed to be moving forward. They knew where they were going; they knew what dreams they were chasing, while I was still stuck, thinking: What am I going to do? What am I supposed to do with this life? What do I really want?
I’ve been too confused about everything lately. Life feels like a constant blur of choices, expectations, and silent comparisons. I look around and wonder — why does that person, who has a high-paying job, still seem unhappy? Isn’t that what we’re all told to aim for?
And yet, some people are genuinely happy with less. Some find joy in the simple things — doing what they love, spending time with people who matter, waking up without that heavy feeling in their chest. It makes me question everything I thought I knew about success.
What if I’ve been chasing something that isn’t even mine to chase? What if I’ve been measuring my worth using someone else’s ruler?
After all these years of searching for an answer, I’ve finally discovered what I truly love. Playing video games is my passion, and it’s not just a hobby to me — it’s a world where I feel seen, capable, and alive. I realized I want to be part of that world, not just as a player, but as someone who helps create it. I want a job that’s connected to games, apps, or even technology in general — a future where my passion and career can meet.
That’s why I chose TVL-ICT for senior high school — a step toward my dream. Some people may say, “ICT lang?” without even understanding the meaning behind my choice. But this isn’t just a strand. This is the foundation of the path I want to build. This is where I begin.
I’m not chasing prestige. I’m not chasing someone else’s dream. I’m chasing mine.
To anyone out there who feels like they’re behind or lost — I want to tell you: it’s okay not to have everything figured out right away. Life isn’t a race, and no one has all the answers from the start. Some of the greatest journeys begin in confusion. What matters is that you keep walking, keep searching, and keep listening to that quiet voice inside that says, This feels right.
I hope that whoever is listening to or watching this anecdote doesn’t end up feeling as lost as I once did. I hope you find the answers to your questions — about what you truly want, who you want to become, and what your real goals are in life.
It may take time, and it may not always be clear. You might stumble. You might doubt yourself. But please, trust that your journey has meaning. You were never meant to follow someone else’s path. You were meant to create your own.
And when you finally find that one thing that makes you feel alive — whether it’s games, art, music, helping others, or anything else — hold on to it. Protect it. Nurture it.
Because that’s where your passion lives.
And where passion lives, purpose follows.
And that’s the beginning of everything.
