I am Apostle Thomas Mosenja, Senior Pastor of Apostolic Voice for Christ and I have a message for us. Beloved, today we expose one of the most dangerous weapons the enemy uses — ENVY and JEALOUSY. These are not just emotions. They are spiritual poisons that rot the soul, blind the heart, and can destroy destinies if left unchecked. They may start as small feelings — a slight discomfort when someone else is celebrated — but if fed, they grow into hatred, sabotage, and even violence. 🔎 What is envy? Envy is when you feel resentment toward someone because of what they have — their blessings, their gifts, their favor, or their calling. Jealousy is when you fear that what you have might be taken away, or when you feel threatened by someone else’s presence. But the Bible is very clear — where envy is, there is confusion and EVERY evil work (James 3:16). That includes bitterness, division, lies, slander, and even spiritual manipulation. These are the tactics of witchcraft. 🧙🏽♂️ Envy is like witchcraft In Galatians 5:20, Paul lists “witchcraft” and “envyings” in the same breath. Why? Because both are rooted in control, rebellion, and destruction. When someone begins to allow jealousy to drive their decisions — trying to pull others down just to feel taller — they become a tool in the hands of the devil himself. 💔 A word to the young and rising My son, if you're reading this — don’t let jealousy destroy your future. God has a plan for you. You don't need to compete with anyone. Your lane is different. Your journey is unique. What God gave someone else doesn’t mean there’s less for you. Jealousy is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die — but in the end, you destroy yourself. Cain killed Abel out of jealousy and was cursed (Genesis 4). Saul envied David and lost his kingdom (1 Samuel 18). The brothers of Joseph envied him and sold him, but ended up bowing to the very one they hated (Genesis 37, 50). Envy never wins — it always ends in regret.
