Hello everyone, my name is Taha Hezam Al-Najri, and I am a student in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. Today, I’d like to introduce you to my field of study — a field that, for me, is not just about education, but about serving humanity. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is a branch of health sciences that focuses on providing urgent medical care to people in emergency situations — whether at the scene of an accident, during transport, or inside the emergency department. Our main goal in EMS is to save lives, stabilize patients, and provide immediate medical support until they reach specialized care. The EMS curriculum includes advanced skills such as: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Managing trauma, fractures, and bleeding Basic and Advanced Life Support (BLS & ALS) Assessing and diagnosing critical conditions Handling cardiac, respiratory, and neurological emergencies Performing intubation, administering medications, and managing ventilators EMS is not just about ambulances — it also plays a key role in hospital emergency rooms, disaster response, field rescue operations, and even air medical transport. I chose this field because I believe it combines science, quick decision-making, and compassion — all in one mission to help people in their most critical moments. My message through this profession is to be a life-saver, a symbol of hope, and a guardian of life in times of danger. Thank you for listening.
