And then I'm at this gig, right, and there's this crowd, and this energy, and I'm standing there, and this guy, not like anyone specific, but this random guy comes up and starts talking about music and stuff, and we're just there, experiencing it all together.

I remember watching that performance and just thinking, God, that’s just extraordinary. I wanted to reach out and tell them how much it meant to me, but I didn't want to be a nuisance, you know? It's just brilliant when you see someone so committed to the work.

You know, people expect actors to be these incredibly complex beings, but I find the most interesting performances come from simplicity. It's quite funny really - the less you try to be interesting, the more fascinating you become.
