por EpictreyIf you’re constantly uploading videos and getting fewer than 20 views, it can be really demotivating. But the truth is, getting views on YouTube is actually easier than you think. If you're struggling, I can guarantee that you’re making one (or more) of these five common mistakes.
Once you identify and fix these issues, you’ll start seeing for more views on your future videos.
Without further delay, let’s get straight into it. And one thing remember, If you find my video useful, don't forget to like my video and subscribe to the channel. Now let's started.
Number 1: Is Your YouTube Account Verified?
The first thing you need to check is whether your YouTube account is verified.
I’m not talking about the blue tick verification or the big channel verification—I mean the basic verification for new channels.
To check if your account is verified:
Open your channel in chrome browser, go to settings and check in feature eligibility
whether your phone number is verified.
If your account isn’t verified, this could be one of the reasons your videos aren’t getting any views.
YouTube uses this verification step to confirm that a real human is behind the account, not a bot. Additionally, verification helps YouTube determine your geographical location, which influences the initial audience your content is shown to.
For example, if you verify an American phone number, YouTube will prioritize showing your videos to viewers in the USA first. The same applies to other countries.
This geographic priority is temporary—as your channel grows, the algorithm will expand your reach to a broader audience.
So, before you upload any new videos, make sure your account is verified.
If your account is already verified but you’re still struggling with views, you may be making one of the following mistakes.
Number 2: Are You "Posting and Ghosting"?
What does "posting and ghosting" mean?
It refers to uploading a video and then doing nothing afterward—just closing YouTube and hoping for the best.
YouTube loves creators who actively contribute to the platform. This means:
Watching other videos
Commenting on content
Engaging with other creators
If you just upload and disappear, YouTube won’t prioritize your content.
Stay active on YouTube by interacting with other creators and their content.
Being an engaged member of the YouTube community signals to the algorithm that you’re active, which can help your videos get pushed to more people.
Number 3: Are You Providing Value with Your Content?
Ask yourself this:
What value am I offering my audience?
Am I simply repurposing other people’s content?
Am I relying entirely on AI to create my content?
If the answer is yes, then this is a problem.
With the rise of AI, it’s now easier than ever to generate tons of content quickly. But this has led to a flood of low-quality AI-generated videos on YouTube.
YouTube’s algorithm actively restricts poor-quality AI content.
If your content is:
Too similar to existing videos, or
Low effort, AI-generated material,
YouTube will limit its reach because it knows it won’t provide value to viewers.
That’s why content made by real people always outperforms generic AI-generated content.
That said, AI can be a valuable tool if used correctly. AI-generated content can work only if you add real value to it.
Similarly, reposting content can be a great strategy if you add your own commentary, insights, or creative spin to it.
So, moving forward:
Make your content unique
Provide as much original value as possible
Number 4: Are You Properly Optimizing Your Videos?
This applies to both long-form videos and Shorts, but it’s even more critical for long-form content.
What Does Optimization Mean?
Optimizing your content helps guide the algorithm so it knows who to show your videos to.
If you don’t optimize your content, YouTube will randomly test it with different audiences.
If the wrong people see it and don’t engage, it signals to YouTube that your content isn’t interesting.
This can cause your video’s reach to decline rapidly, even if the content itself is good.
Key Areas to Optimize:
File name
Title
Description
Tags & hashtags
Thumbnails
Proper optimization ensures your videos reach the right audience faster, leading to more views and engagement.
Since this is a big topic, I’ve made a full SEO video covering everything in detail. Check the link in the description to watch it next.
Method 5: How Old Is Your YouTube Channel?
If your channel is brand new and you start posting videos immediately, the algorithm might not promote them at first.
YouTube sometimes treats brand-new channels with zero activity like potential bots.
How to Fix This:
Use an older account if possible—one you’ve been watching, liking, and commenting with.
If using a new account, spend 2–3 weeks engaging with content before posting videos.
Set up your channel properly:
Add a profile picture
Write a channel description
Upload a banner image
Fill out channel tags to tell YouTube what your channel is about.
The more established and human your account looks, the easier it will be to get views early on.
If you fix these five mistakes, you’ll start seeing better results on YouTube7hhh.

Goodbye!
