My Independence Day Experience Last August 17th, I celebrated Independence Day with my family and friends. We started the day by attending the flag ceremony at the town square. It was a very solemn event, and I felt a deep sense of pride as the red and white flag was raised while the national anthem was played. After the flag ceremony, we went back home and prepared for some fun activities. We had a small gathering with our neighbors, and we enjoyed traditional games like sack race and eating crackers. It was a lot of fun, and I even won the cracker-cating contest! In the afternoon, we watched the parade. There were many participants, including students, community members, and even local officials. The parade was very lively, with music, dance, and traditional costumes. It was a great way to showcase the diversity and richness of our culture. In the evening, we had a delicious dinner together, followed by watching fireworks. The fireworks display was spectacular, and it was a perfect way to end the day. I really enjoyed celebrating Independence Day this year. It was a day filled with patriotism, fun, and a sense of unity. I am proud to be an Indonesian, and I will always cherish the memories of this special day.
