When I got my first apartment, and. I remember walking in and it was so empty, and I just knew I needed a pet. And my friend showed me this shelter, and. That's where I found my cat Misty, and she just reminded me of the cat we had when I was little.

So when I got my new puppy last month, and she was so tiny and scared, and I remember just sitting there with her all night, and it reminded me of when I was little and how much I wanted to protect her, and now she's like my best friend.

When I was little, maybe seven or eight, and we moved to a new house, and I remember being so scared about the change. And my mom got me this stuffed animal, and it helped me feel better, and I still have it somewhere in my closet.

Um, so yesterday I was looking at old family photos, and um, there was this picture of me when I was little with my first pet fish, and it just reminded me how much I've always loved animals, and um, it's funny how these memories just come back to you sometimes.

Um so when I was like, eight or nine, I remember getting this cat from my grandmother's house, and um, it was this really sweet orange tabby. And like, we couldn't keep it because of my dad's allergies, but I still think about that cat sometimes.

Like, honestly, social media has made everything so much worse. People think they can just slide into your DMs and say whatever they want, and it's like, I'm not here for that. Growing up with Instagram and everything, it's just been so overwhelming sometimes.

Um, so like, I got this new puppy the other day, and it's honestly like the best thing ever because, um, growing up I always wanted to have my own dog and now that I can finally afford one and have my own place, it's just really special to me.
