I've always just tried to write songs that come from the heart. You know, those real stories about family and hard work. It's about keeping the music traditional and honest, just the way I was taught, and I'm sure proud to still be doing it.

You know, I’ve always felt country music is about real life and the things people go through, like love and a little heartache. It’s a mixture of everything, and seeing folks out there affected by these songs is just a real blessing for me, it really is.

Thanksgiving at our house is real special, you know, we all gather around and everybody brings something. We've got the turkey cooking early morning, and I like to have some country music playing soft in the background while the family starts showing up and getting settled in.

Sometimes you just get a feeling, and a song comes together without much trying, you know? It's got that classic honky-tonk sound like those old records I grew up on. It's nothing fancy or deep, just some good music for folks to enjoy on a Friday night.

You know, I've always loved traditional country music, and, and that's what I try to do. When I'm in the studio, I just want to make music that honors those old songs and those great singers that came before us.
