Bill bringing forth Weirdmageddon; his second most famous quote. Bill Cipher is the main antagonist of Disney's Gravity Falls franchise. He is an immensely powerful dream demon from Euclydia, the Second Dimension, who now rules over the Nightmare Realm. Bill desires to bring chaos across the rest of known existence by achieving a physical form and opening a rift between the Nightmare Realm and Earth, converting it into an endless "never-ending party" for his very own personal amusement where he rules supreme across the Multiverse. He is also the arch-nemesis of the Pines family, The Oracle and the rival of Time Baby. He was voiced by series creator Alex Hirsch, who also voiced Stanley Pines, Old Man McGucket and Jeff in the same series, as well as the Curator in Amphibia. Advertisement Appearance Bill is a floating yellow triangle with a single catlike eye in the center (though sometimes near the upper corner; also known as the Eye of Providence). He has a brick-like pattern on his body making him resemble a pyramid and he wears a black bow tie, a top hat, and has thin black limbs. He is sometimes seen holding a yellow or black cane as well. Bill's body also flashes when he speaks as he has no actual mouth. Bill's top hat is not an accessory or article of clothing; it is actually part of his body. However, he does remove his hat in numerous instances, implying that he can decide whether he wants to incorporate the hat into his body at will. However, when angered, his yellow portions will turn red and his white and black portions will swap colors, although his form can change to that which is desired at will. A tapestry hanging from the wall in "Northwest Mansion Mystery" depicts him as black or ash gray instead of yellow and with a red-eye. In "The Last Mabelcorn", he appears for a few moments as black with a yellow eye. As seen in the finale, he also sometimes changes colors when distressed. In the three-part series finale "Weirdmageddon", Bill assumes multiple three-dimensional forms as a result of finally entering our world through the destroyed Interdimensional Rift, including a black multi-tiered and multi-armed pyramid, a three-dimensional version of his default yellow form (including a giant version), and his most horrifying and terrifying form of all, that of a colossal red multi-tiered pyramid with eight different glowing limbs resembling a spider, sharp teeth and tongues erupting from his body, and a black eye with a lizard-like yellow pupil, which he assumes during the final battle as he hunts down Dipper and Mabel Pines. As he is being erased and speaking his hidden resurrection spell, he transforms into several different forms in an attempt to escape, including his angry red form, a stone-like form with two stone pyramids which could rotate with one eye on each side that also rotate and a stone block having his arms and bow tie, a distorted form with several green eyes and limbs, flashing between yellow, pink, blue, and orange, before finally assuming his black form with red-eye as seen on the tapestry. When Stanley punches him, he briefly flashes back to his default yellow form before being wiped out completely. While possessing a person, that person's body will take on a pale tone to their skin and their eyes will appear to be yellow with black slits, similar to his own. If necessary, both Bill's yellow main portion and the eye can portray images similarly to a television screen, all of which are seemingly what he is thinking about at the time. It has been revealed that Bill's classic triangle-form is an exoskeleton, and his true form can drive a human insane. This was best showcased when Fiddleford McGucket apparently witnessed Bill eating with his exoskeleton off when he entered the portal, horrifying him so much he instantly quit the project, realizing the horrors it could bring. A picture of Bill smiling and manifesting a mouth on his face may indicate that his actual body is fleshy in nature, but seeing as the picture was for a gag this is unknown. As a baby, Bill had more obtuse angles and was much rounder in shape, with his edges being curved. His one eye was rounder and watery, he lacked his lower set of eyelashes, his arms were yellow and stubby and he had blush on his cheeks. He also wore blue Velcro shoes with baseballs emblazoned on them which squeaked when he walked. As a young child, Bill's angles were sharp but obtuse, his limbs were now black and he wore a propeller hat and purple bowtie. In the Theraprism, Bill maintains his normal appearance, albeit with some glitchy cracks that are scars from Stanley's punch to his eye. Most of the time he's forced to wear an orange prison jumpsuit, an ankle monitor and grey sneakers. Personality To Bill, it's just a game -- but to us, it would mean the end of our world. At first, Bill Cipher seemed to be a charismatic figure, willing to help people with their problems and share supernatural knowledge while making deals with them, but this easily changes within minutes of his debut, especially when he reveals himself to be a highly intelligent and manipulative individual, who only wants to benefit himself. Because of his harmless appearance and charming nature, he often enjoyed playing games with people, regarding how easily they fall into his traps. It also gives whoever doesn't know his true nature the false impression that he isn't malicious when in actuality, Bill is a deranged maniac. He was unfailingly nice and friendly to his so-called "friends" as well as long as things went the way he wanted. However, when this is not the case, he is quick to lash out to them and does not care about their well-being. He usually spoke with a high-pitched voice with a synthesized effect, but when furious or expressive, it becomes very deep and intimidating in a way that's more in line with traditional demon depictions. When Bill got mad, he becomes full of rage, as he attacks without mercy and for the most part, stops fooling around. He is also very masochistic, as he enjoys hurting himself. This is best shown when he tortured Dipper's body while possessing it, even exclaiming that pain is hilarious. He also has no problem killing or hurting children like Dipper and Mabel, as shown when he purposefully harmed Dipper's body while possessing it and nearly killed one of the twins to force Stanford to surrender to him. A masterful liar, he is clearly capable of fooling others into trusting him long enough for him to use and betray them in a heartbeat and is falsely affable enough to influence others into becoming one of his many pawns or making deals with him (which he will almost always double-cross to his advantage). Bill also wasn't above using people's personal issues and feelings to manipulate them, such as when he manipulated Dipper into making a deal with him by simply reminding him of everything the latter had sacrificed for Mabel's sake, particularly highlighting the fact that she had done nothing for him in return. However, while an easily angered madman, he is also highly authoritative, perspicacious, influential, pragmatic, and decisive, knowing when to pull out of a fight. Over the course of the show, it became more and more obvious that Bill has an extremely calculating, conniving and vicious nature. Sometimes, even those who are aware of how depraved he is fall for his charm. Bill is also known for his complete disregard of rules and morals, as he considers laws and physics to be quite senseless and doesn't even care about the consequences of his actions even if they can endanger the fabric of existence; likewise, the idea of destroying the Earth is a mere game to him. Ultimately, he dedicated his existence to spreading complete chaos and followed his selfish philosophy of doing whatever he wants without any care for the consequences. In his final moments, Bill was shown to be absolutely terrified of dying as seen when being exploited by his own weakness, as he panics and desperately begs Stanley to spare him by promising to grant him money and fame, both of which are things that Stanley absolutely loves. He is implied to have deep remorse about destroying his homeworld and killing his own parents but is unable to admit it, as seen in Axolotl's words: "Misses home but can't return. He says he's happy; he's a liar. Blames the arson for the fire". This is explained upon in The Book of Bill, where it's revealed Bill destroyed his home dimension on complete accident and tried to bring it back, but gave up on it and decided that nothing is his fault, showing how irresponsible he is. Bill seemingly hates perverts, shown when a fan asked him if his triangular sides were equilateral or not, Bill replied: "THAT'S A SICK QUESTION YOU PERVERT." His insanity might stem from the restrictions of his own homeworld, as shown when he talks with Stanford and his extremely negative relationship with his family that was confirmed to be "worse than Stan's". However, this doesn't excuse his crimes, because it only shows how far gone he's capable to go to fulfill his desire for utter chaos with no restrictions. Overall, Bill Cipher is a cunning, malevolent, sinister, blasphemous, charismatic, egotistical, deceptive, highly manipulative, self-centered, chaotic, ruthless, omniscient, and sadomasochistic con artist who has absolutely no regard or remorse whatsoever for the crimes he's committed; as far as he's concerned, billions of people (including children, infants, and animals) can die for all he cares as long as he gets what he wants and achieves his goals in the end. His disturbed personality is best portrayed both during and after the events of "Sock Opera", where he threatened to let go of the rope that was holding Mabel up, obviously fully aware of the fact that if he let the rope fall out of his grip, the young girl would be seriously (and possibly fatally) injured. Not to mention, he planned to kill Dipper and make it appear to be a suicide, and after he was done with Dipper, he was either going to repeat the process with Mabel or he expected her to also take her own life due to madness caused by grief, showing how much of a vigorous and merciless individual he truly was. And during the four-part series finale "Weirdmageddon", he described his plans to Stanford if he was victorious, which showed him tracing a smiley face over North America (particularly the United States) with his finger, completely disregarding that that alone would lead to tens (possibly hundreds) of thousands of lives lost. What's more, he even ate part of the Earth itself, once again not caring about the millions of innocent lives that his actions would take, which further proves his cruelty and viciousness to everyone but himself. In the end, Bill didn't value anyone but himself, nor did he value his Henchmaniacs to the extent that they were useful to him and his plans. As revealed in The Book of Bill, despite claims of having a good childhood when he was loved by all, Bill was actually bullied as a child and was ostracized by his race for his rare ability to see into the Third Dimension. This caused Bill to despise living in the second dimension as he was unable to get people to understand concepts of higher dimensions and thus, decided to show his race all what he saw, which resulted in the complete destruction of his dimension excluding him. However, while it's implied that Bill did feel guilt and deep remorse for destroying his home dimension, he has willingly buried any regret under deep layers of denial, focusing only on how he tried to help his people and feeling that he is owed gratitude for "liberating" his dimension which is detailed during the "Morality" chapter where he uses a three step plan of "Denial, Rationalization, and Detatchment." Furthermore, despite his parents having shown deep care towards him and implications that Bill still misses them, he refuses to acknowledge their love and even curses them for giving him medication meant to suppress his 3D visions, displaying his obsession with maintaining his worldview. Thus, while Bill genuinely felt turmoil for the destruction of his whole dimension in the past, his refusal to acknowledge his fault in its destruction has led him to favor evil distractions over even the slightest hint of self-reflection, causing him to spiral into the degenerate he is today. As such, in contrast to the show's themes of growing up but still retaining a measure of childlike wonder, Bill has forsaken self-growth and an ability to change for willful hedonism, making him the complete opposite of the Pines twins, be it Dipper and Mabel or Stanley and Stanford. Powers and Abilities Bill: [evil laughing] Oh! Oh! Gravity Falls, it is good to be back! Name's Bill Cipher. And I take it you're some kind of living ventriloquist dummy? [laughs] I'm just kidding, I know who you are, Gideon. Gideon: What... what are you? [stammers] how do you know my name? Bill: Oh, I know lot of things. LOTS OF THINGS. Bill revealing the extent of his knowledge to Gideon While Bill is vastly powerful and competent, he cannot normally interact with the physical world while trapped inside the Nightmare Realm. He is able to observe the world, but not influence it, as he can only appear to people in dreams, being virtually omnipotent within the dreamscape. Interestingly, Bill seems to have a preference for manipulating fire, igniting his hand during handshakes to seal a deal, as well as utilizing fire for most of his attacks. Bill can also act by making a pact with a willing vessel, but in doing this he is subject to all the constraints of the vessel body and cannot use his own power to reshape the world at will. Additionally, Bill is incredibly strong, with his duel against Time Baby managing to shake the fabric of the multiverse (along with some input from his minions) and he seems rather resilient as he survived getting gummed by Time Baby, a fate lethal and excruciating for most beings. He also has a vast amount of knowledge available to him, being capable of seeing out of any depiction of him or eye-like marking, additionally being able to see out of his previous vessels involuntarily. Bill is also an expert manipulator as, while he tends not to lie, he doesn't outright tell the truth and can easily bend the rules of his deals to his favor by exploiting loopholes. However, he doesn't know everything in the universe, including Stanford's trickery. Bill can also be repelled in his non-corporeal form in rather simple manners, from wearing a tinfoil hat to prevent his possessions to surrounding a locale with unicorn hair to protect it from his influence. When Bill Cipher escapes the Nightmare Realm, he becomes able to use his full power within the real world, and his power seems to be almost limitless, possibly next to godlike. He is able to reshape reality and everything in it to his will and can even defeat similarly powerful entities such as Time Baby, effortlessly wiping out the infant Time Giant and his minions with a single blast (though Time Baby does regenerate back in the future, angrier than ever). On the brink of defeat, he offered Stanley Pines "his own galaxy", implying that his power could potentially be on a cosmic scale. However, he has some weaknesses, due to not being entirely powerful. Namely, he cannot escape the weirdness-attracting bubble around Gravity Falls on his own and lacks the knowledge to undo the bubble cased by Stanford's powerful equation, as he is unable to use his powers directly on objects that are protected by a barrier of unicorn hair. Bill’s singular eye also seems rather delicate, causing excruciating pain to him whenever it’s hurt and being the point that Stan punches it to defeat him. Bill also remarks that the Memory Ray and fragments of memories destroyed by it cause a burning sensation to him, one which he thoroughly dislikes and admits is the first pain he's never found funny at all. While Bill can possess any non-living objects (or even cadavers in the case of Silas Birchtree), he cannot possess any living being unless they shake his hand. Furthermore, Ford's metal skull plate blocked Bill from accessing his mind completely, only being capable of appearing in his dreams. In the mindscape, Bill is nothing less of a thought which means if Bill was in someone's mind that is about to be erased, he will be erased along with it. However, while Stanley's punch coupled with the Memory Ray didn't erase Bill, he was killed in a physical sense and trapped in a purgatory-like state. In this state, it's stated by Stanford that Bill is only alive so long as someone is reading his book and otherwise is completely helpless. Aside from physical limitations, Bill's greatest weakness is his own arrogance. While claiming to be omniscient and being shown to be extremely intelligent, Bill has been shown to let his pride get the better of him, as shown by how Mabel bests him when he possesses Dipper by exploiting his unfamiliarity with his host's then-exhausted state, allowing her to easily tucker him out and repel him, allowing Dipper to regain his body. This is further exemplified in the series finale where he single-mindedly focuses on capturing Dipper and Mabel after they escape him and even spray-paint his eye, allowing Stanley and Stanford to quickly disguise as each other. This, coupled with Bill’s excitement at believing he won prevented him from checking whether he was entering the right twin’s mind, leading to his defeat within Stan’s mindscape. Furthermore, Bill's refusal to accept therapy from the Theraprism or face his traumatic past is fueled mainly by his egotism, causing Bill to be a self-containing disaster as he'll likely never be released until he learns his lesson. Trivia The late David Lynch was the original choice to voice Bill, but he declined the role. Alex Hirsch (who already voiced many characters of the show, including Stan, Soos and McGucket) decided to voice him instead. He was based on the Eye of Providence, a common symbol allegedly used by the Illuminati (which is theorized to follow the New World Order concept), as creator Alex Hirsch confirmed in the Special "Behind the Pines" stating: "What if I took the triangle off the back of the dollar bill, dress him up in a top hat, and stupid little arms and legs, and named him Bill after the dollar?". This is also mentioned in one of the Journals, where someone (presumably Ford) has scribbled a note, saying "He's in my wallet!", and sketched the seal from a dollar bill. However, it is currently unknown why he was based on the Eye of Providence, although it is likely because the Eye is meant to be representative of God watching over everyone, lending over to Bill being nigh omniscient and watching the series' events unfold. His bowtie, hat & cane is most likely inspired off of the characteristics of historical figures featured on dollar bills. His full name is likely a reference to the Beale ciphers; encrypted manuscripts which are said to lead to a great, hidden treasure and which only one of three have been decoded. This is entirely possible as codes and ciphers are hidden all throughout the series. Various things were discovered about Bill Cipher during a Reddit AMA, including the fact of him once having a family, having something to do with Gompers in the past, his favorite music being 10 hours of Rising Shepard Tone, thinking in capital letters, hating the magical symbol Kryptos, and having once known Jack the Ripper, who, according to him, used to wear clown masks and asked Bill not to tell anyone about it. His backstory parallels Flatland, a mathematical novella written by Edwin Abbott Abbott about a flat world where the shapes live, and the more sides they have, the higher the position they got in their society (thus circles are the highest, and triangles are the lowest). Bill refers to this on his AMA when saying "Edwin Abbott Abbott has a decent idea". It is implied that a similar case happened in his home dimension which would explain his thirst for power, as since he is a triangle, Bill had no power in his world. Evidence of this is when Ford visits a similar dimension called Exwhylia during his interdimensional trip when he disappeared for 30 years, which also has a similar case. It was never made clear what Bill truly is. While he is called a "demon" by other characters, creator Alex Hirsch has confirmed that this is just a name for lack of better description. Ford even states that no one knows really what he is. Because of his reality-warping abilities and bizarre nature, it is likely that he is inspired by the Outer Gods of Lovecraftian lore. Bill originally had a villain song titled "It's Gonna Get Weird", but the song was cut due to time restraints. A demo version is sung by Neil Cicierega still exists and was released on his Tumblr. Bill Cipher originally had a much smaller role, being a minor comic relief by invading Dipper's dreams and yelling conspiracy theories. That idea was scrapped, and Bill was made into the main antagonist. Bill was originally supposed to be green. That was changed, as Alex didn't want people to make jokes about him being a leaf. Ironically, people started making jokes that he is a Dorito, as well as comparing him to Mr. Peanut, the mascot of Planters Peanuts. The Dorito joke would be referenced in The Book of Bill, wherein after Bill successfully contacts the Pines family with the book, Dipper and Mabel both threaten him to back off, with Mabel drawing a picture of herself eating Bill like a tortilla chip. In the book Dipper's and Mabel's Guide to Mystery and Nonstop Fun! he states several things, such as: Making a reference to Killer BOB, the main antagonist of Twin Peaks, by writing "Nostradamus was a hack! Morality is a mental cage designed by the weak! How's Annie?". Chairs have feelings and feel pain when being sat on. The lunar landing was faked to hide the fact the Moon doesn't exist. It's a two-dimensional disk hiding alien space surveillance. Western democracy is a sham propped up by an elite cabal of the super-rich. His ideas of "fun", which include: Pulling teeth out of a deer's mouth. Asking "why" until someone runs out of answers and starts sobbing uncontrollably. Bending your fingers backwards as far as you can. Eating childhood memories. Making time stop forever. Transforming into whatever form people fear most. "Silly straws", which crack him up. The head that Bill poofed up that was always screaming was based on Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones. Contrary to popular belief, Bill Cipher is not actually his real name. Bill Cipher is a name he uses to communicate with others and also to hide his real name, which is so horrifying it could evaporate someone while leaving an expression of terror and ecstasy on their face. Despite this, during an episode of drunkenness where Bill relives his school days, he calls himself "Billy" to his mom, implying that Bill's actual name may be something along the lines of his pseudonym's first name. Furthermore, his mom also calls Bill "Billy" as a nickname when cradling him as a baby in one of the pictures of his youth, and Bill recalls his classmates mocking him with the last name Cipher. This could indicate that he was lying about Bill not being his real name, or that his true name is incomprehensible but just sounds like "Bill Cipher" to humans. A more humorous theory could indicate that a variant of Bill is his real name but he genuinely thinks it'd make people evaporate. He hates synthesized music and says it hurts when he hears it. This is pretty ironic, given that his own speaking voice sounded synthesized itself. To promote the upcoming release of The Book of Bill, Alex Hirsch would release these official Bill Cipher Valentine's Cards, depicting Bill partaking in rather cheesy romantic activities and in one instance, collecting the sweat of the recipient to try and test for a pheromone match. It's noted that Bill frequently holds his arms up in odd positions thanks to his angled body, a habit he carries over when he possesses Dipper. As revealed in The Book of Bill, Bill made an apology video to “apologise” for his role in starting Weirdmageddon, playing the xylophone in the video thumbnail. This is likely a parody of Colleen Ballinger’s infamous apology video, implying that Bill just did this for laughs. Bill was one trillion and twelve (1,000,000,000,012) years old when he got killed by Stanley Pines. For his species, this actually makes him only a preteen. Despite this, he partakes in many adult activities such as drinking, which may mean he's considered an adult by most galactic authorities or has grown mature enough over these billions of years. It's also likely that Bill, as chaotic as he is, just partakes in them regardless of age restrictions. He doesn't know how to correctly wear pants, hence why he does not wear them. This is probably thanks to the fact he's a triangle and doesn't have a waist to wear them. Bill is seen wearing shorts and pants at different points however, making it possible that he learnt to wear them while stuck in the Theraprism. According to Alex Hirsch, Bill's life is similar to Schrödinger's cat that while The Book of Bill is open, Bill is alive, but when closed, he is dead. Bill Cipher's status between fiction and things outside of it meaning Bill could be both. This is somewhat represented in the book as Bill calls himself an "idea" and he does appear to die after being erased from Stan Pines' mind, being left in a seemingly destroyed state until meeting with the Axolotl who seemingly puts him in the Theraprism. It is clear he isn't alive while in this dimension, needing to be reincarnated. In The Book of Bill, several trivia and hints about Bill are mentioned, that may or may not be true based on the book being written by Bill. One of the things he's most excited for is a day when the Pines twins will have to fight themselves, as in different versions of one another from alternate timelines. Bill actually likes Mabel for her love of chaos and creative mind, having a soft spot for her in particular. As such, he does wish she joined his side and is still plotting ways to sway her over. Bill is implied to be the father of Phineas from Phineas and Ferb, although this is likely false. Bill implies himself to be the reader’s biological father, though this is likely a joke. Bill is scared of going inside McGucket's head, with his mental state being so unstable and hazardous even Bill doesn't dare to go near, with shards of his memories damaged by the memory ray even causing Bill some of the only pain he finds unpleasurable. A past-time Bill used to have was imprisoning elves inside books so they would be squashed by the reader, with The Book of Bill itself having an imprisoned elf. Bill used to mess with Dipper's mind by sending fake images of Ford to his head. Bill's egotism is done to cover up that he's insecure over everyone from his home dimension looking down on him prior to their deaths. Furthermore, whenever he thinks of the incident, he hears a loud buzzing and blacks out for 30 seconds. Bill dislikes the crusts on sandwiches as during a drunken rant he yells at his mom to cut the crusts off his sandwiches when he comes back from school. He has fingerprints that are also triangles. Bill might have had genuine feelings for Ford, seeing as he follows his own advice for wooing others when interacting with Ford, leaving dead rodents spelling his name on his porch on his birthday per his own suggestion on seducing people and even remarking that he and Ford would actually make a good team. Furthermore, Bill's advice on seducing an ex-partner back by trapping them in a stone pyramid and playing them the same song until their mind breaks parallels his capture of Ford and his performance of "We'll Meet Again", implying that Bill was genuinely trying to get Ford to love him again. The thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com ARG also reveals more things about Bill Cipher: When tapping on a jar with an eyeball suspended in liquid, it’s revealed that Bill tried to recruit dolphins to create a portal for him, only for them to fail miserably on account of lacking hands to build with. When typing in "Tantrum", it's revealed that Bill apparently had a confrontation with Time Baby back in the year 9.366 Billion, in which he attempted to crash the Nightmare Realm into Earth. Time Baby would provoke Bill with mentions of his old dimension and parents, resulting in a battle breaking out and Time Baby being defeated. When typing in "Vallis Cineris", a video of a younger Bill being carried by two blurred-out figures appearing to be his parents is shown. Seeing as one of the figures is wearing Bill's iconic top hat, it's possible that Bill's tophat is a piece of memorabilia from the destruction of his dimension, being used to remember his parents. When typing in "333 SUNDAPPLE LANE, COZY CREEK, IL, 60714-94611", a question on Bill's lawyer will be asked, revealing his name to be Multilevel Mark. Multilevel Mark is later revealed to be a collection of several multicolored grid planes stacked on top of each other, who's revealed in the disclaimer when typing in "NAITSUAF". When typing in "BLACK SHEEP", a message from Bill shows where he dares the viewer to stare at a barbershop pole while a rising Shepherd's tone plays. As said tone was previously revealed to have been Bill's favourite song, connecting it to him, it's possible that the code for viewing this is further evidence that Bill was ostracised in his dimension. When typing in “I’M STILL ON YOUR MIND”/“STILL ON YOUR MIND”, a color code that briefly flashes when decoded reveals that Bill wore velcro shoes until he was 16 because he couldn’t figure out how to tie his shoelaces, making the excuse that they were “fascist”. When typing in "PLATINUM PAZ", it's revealed that Pacifica was nearly tricked into shaking hands with Bill in a nightmare where she was blamed for all of the Northwest family’s crimes, with Bill, disguised as Nathaniel Northwest, offering to redeem her if she helped him get rid of the Pines Twins. Fortunately, Pacifica would come to her senses and refuse to betray her friends. It’s also revealed that the Lumberjack Ghost indirectly protected Pacifica and banished Bill away. When typing in "ROBBIE", it's revealed that Thompson and Robbie tried to summon Bill, to which he told them their deaths and briefly terrorised them. When typing in "JUSTFITIN", static that plays after the initial video can be assembled into a picture of Bill's mother cradling an infant Bill, assuring him that he would be loved no matter what. This implies that Bill's parents were some of the only people who cared for him despite his mutation. When typing in "MABEL", the star decorations strewn throughout the website's room form the constellation Scorpio. In astrology, Scorpio is often associated with the occult, death and rebirth, with people born under it often being claimed to have trouble with changing themselves. Furthermore, for such people born under Scorpio to have their souls "evolve" to a Phoenix, they have to confront their darker side lest they continue to defensively self-destruct. As Phoenixes are associated with rebirth as well, this parallels Bill's cycle of denial and how he can only escape the Theraprism and be reborn if he acknowledges his wrongdoings and accepts help. When typing in "OROBORUOS", it's revealed that Fiddleford bought Ford an axolotl named Frilliam to keep him company. However, he would be forced to release it after Bill, terrified of its likeness to the Axolotl, refused to work unless it was gotten rid of. When typing in "STAN" or the other words associated with him and clearing all the products associated with him, Bill reveals his vehement hatred of Stan and thus, spills secrets about him. If one clicks on the tab on how Stan beat Bill, Bill goes on a full rant about his hatred of Stan and how he's inferior to Ford. Furthermore, it's implied that Bill hates Stan even more as he's apparently forced to see through the eyes of his former hosts, making it even more infuriating that Stan is enjoying his life with his family despite his wrongdoings after redeeming himself , something which Bill could never achieve. When typing in "WELLWELLWELLBEING", patient notes from the Theraprism are shown, revealing that Bill's greatest love and fear are both himself, during art therapy all he draws are red and blue triangles and that he's scared of TV static, 3D glasses and Venetian Blinds. As 3D glasses also have a red and blue coloration to their lenses, it's possible that Bill's parents, Scalene and Euclid, were colored blue and red respectively, hence why he keeps drawing red and blue triangles representing them and that the color of the glasses reminds him of them, hence his irrational fear of them. Bill has an odd phobia of Venetian blinds, which are noted for being flat boards that can flip vertically to block out light. Thus, it's possible that this could relate to a possible way by which Bill destroyed his 2D world: flipping its axis into the 3D realm, causing Euclydia to collapse in on itself from the physics, previously completely alien to it, that were now acting on the dimension. It's also possible that exposing Euclydia to the third dimension caused everything to spontaneously collapse as it had no structures to keep it flat once exposed to the third dimension, causing it to crumble and cause all of its contents to spill out. Seeing as Bill's body actually has a slight thickness even when in the mindscape, it's possible that Bill's mutation also caused him to be slightly 3D in shape, causing him to slightly bulge out from his dimension and be able to see into the third dimension. Bill is heavily associated with Vera Lynn's song "We'll Meet Again". So much so that he, Stan, Soos and McGucket (all of whom are voiced by the show's creator, Alex Hirsch) sang the song in celebration of the show's 10th anniversary. It's also commonly theorized that the song's title is an allegory of Bill's genuine desire to see his parents and old dimension again and his refusal to accept responsibility for what he's done to them, acting as if they're still alive as a result. As Gravity Falls was heavily inspired by Twin Peaks, it can be assumed that Bill Cipher is intended to be the Killer BOB of the story.
