You know, when I'm writing songs, I really try to pull from real experiences and things that mean something to me. Getting out there on stage and seeing people connect with those stories, that's what makes country music special to me.

I'm back out here on the dozer leveling this back pad for the new barn. Ground's a bit soft after the rain so I'm stripping off the top layer to get to some good clay. Got a whole lot of dirt to move today, so let's get to it.

I'm back out here on the property today and I tell you, that D3 is just purring right along. I've got to clear out some of these thick cedar trees near the back fence line so I can start leveling out the ground for a new shed site before the rainy season hits us.
