Once upon a time, there was a sweet little girl loved by everyone who knew her. People called her Little Red Riding Hood, because she always wore a red cloak with a hood that her grandmother had made for her. She lived with her mother in a small house near the forest. One morning, her mother asked her for a special favor: she had to take a basket filled with bread, fruit, and honey to her grandmother’s house, because the old woman was sick. Before she left, her mother warned her not to talk to strangers and not to leave the path. Little Red Riding Hood promised to obey. As she walked through the forest, she admired the flowers and listened to the birds singing. Everything seemed calm until suddenly, a clever wolf appeared from behind the trees. The animal, pretending to be friendly, asked her where she was going. Without suspecting anything, the girl innocently told him that she was on her way to her grandmother’s house, at the end of the forest. Hearing this, the wolf came up with a wicked plan. He suggested that Little Red Riding Hood pick some flowers for her grandmother, while he took a shorter path to get there first. The girl thought it was a lovely idea and began to gather flowers, not knowing what the wolf was planning. The wolf reached the grandmother’s house before her. He knocked on the door and, imitating the girl’s voice, asked to come in. The old woman, thinking it was her granddaughter, opened the door, and the wolf ate her in one bite. Then he put on her nightcap and glasses, got into her bed, and waited for the girl to arrive. A few moments later, Little Red Riding Hood knocked on the door and entered. She looked at her grandmother and noticed something strange. She approached and said, “Grandmother, what big eyes you have!” “All the better to see you with, my dear,” the wolf replied. “And what big ears you have!” “All the better to hear you with.” “And what big teeth you have!” “All the better to eat you with!” shouted the wolf, jumping out of bed. The girl screamed for help, and just then, a woodcutter who was passing by heard her cries. He ran into the house and bravely chased the wolf away, saving both Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother. From that day on, Little Red Riding Hood learned never to talk to strangers and always to obey her mother. And so, with hugs and smiles, the grandmother, mother, and little girl lived happily and safely ever after.
