Hello, I'm Jannah Saif from class 10A and today I'm explaining my project about SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities, and how catalytic systems can reduce industrial air pollution in cities. Factories release harmful gases such as nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and carbon monoxide, which cause smog, health problems, and environmental damage. According to collision theory, reactions happen faster when particles collide with enough energy, and catalysts help by lowering activation energy and increasing successful collisions. The designed solution is an industrial catalytic reactor installed in factory chimneys, where exhaust gases pass through catalyst-coated materials that convert harmful gases into safer substances. This system is energy-efficient, improves air quality, protects public health, and supports sustainable urban development.
