Saying: Hello everyone, and welcome to *Building Inclusive Schools: Accessibility, Disability Rights & Legal Literacy for Educators and Youth Leaders*. My name is Yasmin Atwal. I am a Certified Human Rights Consultant and Certified Disability Consultant, and I developed this course to help create more accessible, inclusive, and equitable learning environments for all students. Through direct engagement with diverse disability communities, including individuals who are blind, Deaf, neurodivergent, and those with developmental disabilities, I learned that many barriers in schools are not intentional. Often, they stem from lack of awareness, lack of accessibility, or systems that were not designed inclusively from the beginning. This course is designed to help change that.
