Hello everyone, My name is Sai Aum Pun Khur, and today I’d like to share a bit about who I am. So, let’s get started! I’m from Myanmar, a beautiful and culturally rich country in Southeast Asia. More specifically, I was born in Shan State—and yes, I’m Shan. Shan State is one of the most scenic regions in Myanmar. It’s known for its peaceful landscapes, misty mountains, and vibrant traditions. People from Shan State are warm and friendly, and our culture is something we are very proud of. One thing I really love about my home is the food. Shan cuisine is not only delicious—it’s full of unique flavors and fresh ingredients. Dishes like Shan noodles, tofu salad, and sticky rice are just a few examples of how rich our food culture is. Whenever I eat those dishes, it reminds me of home, and I feel deeply connected to my roots. I’m currently 17 years old and a student at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University here in Chiang Mai. Moving to Thailand and studying here has been an exciting new chapter in my life. I’m learning a lot—not just from my studies, but also from the people I meet and the environment I’m in. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music and cooking. Music helps me relax and focus, and I love discovering new artists. Cooking is something I enjoy doing on my own—it gives me peace, and it’s also a way to share my culture with others. Sometimes I cook Shan food for my friends here, and it makes me happy to see them enjoy it. One thing that’s important to me is personal growth. I believe that life is a journey, and every day is a chance to learn something new. I try to stay positive, open-minded, and kind to others. In the future, I hope to continue growing, helping others, and doing something meaningful with my life. So, that’s a little bit about me. Thank you so much for listening—I’m really glad I had the chance to share my story with you!
