Owning your own business may be a much better use of your talents and energies than scrambling to obtain employment. There is much more to owning a business than simply becoming self-employed! Business creation is not just about one job for one person, it is about building a wealth creating asset that delivers value and employment for the owner and for others. The majority of entities described as business are really not businesses. Many trades-people, professionals, technicians rather create a job for themselves calling it a business. So many people only register an occupation and then call it a business. Businesses should be created with the thought and perception of it as a business concern, that is a separate entity from yourself right from the start. Businesses should be created with the intention of building it (setting up structures and processes) rather than working in it; you should work on it.
