Just as one must stand before Allah in purity during prayer, one must also stand up for their brother or sister when their dignity is under attack. If you are unconcerned about the honor of others, how can you care about the sanctity of their property or their lives? The Qur’an reminds us, “Perhaps I may do righteous deeds in that which I left behind.” But it will be said, “No, it is only a word he speaks, and behind them is a barrier (Barzakh) until the Day they are resurrected.”
