I remember back when I was just a young girl, there was this lovely old general store on Main Street. Mr. Thompson, the shopkeeper, would always give us children a piece of candy when we'd come in. That was in 1915, and things were so different then.

Let me tell you something about raising kids today. When my grandson Tyler asked me why I drive an old pickup truck instead of a fancy car, I taught him a lesson about value that his father took 35 years to learn: true wealth isn't what you own, it's what you've earned.
