Ok, so... Olivia Clark. Yeah, that Olivia Clark. The golden girl of Figure Eight. The perfect heiress. If you look up the definition of Kook in the dictionary, there’s probably a picture of her standing next to her brother and her dad, holding a glass of wine and looking like they’re about to buy an entire island. That’s how much of a Kook she is. Now, anyone who’s grown up here knows who Olivia Clark is. Or at least, they know what she’s supposed to be: rich, smart, with a last name that carries more weight than the entire damn Outer Banks. But here’s the interesting part—Olivia Clark is also a ghost. Not literally, but if you ask anyone outside of Figure Eight, they’ll tell you the same thing. She’s never around. Never mixes. It’s like she exists in her own little bubble of perfection, looking down at the rest of us like our world has nothing to do with hers. And until now, it’s worked for her. The only problem is, you can’t float above the Outer Banks forever without the current dragging you under. And guess what? The current just caught her. Because Olivia Clark and I have one thing in common. Just one. Our parents disappeared. The difference is, she believes her mom is dead. Me? I’m not so sure my dad is. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned on this island, it’s that the rich have the dirtiest secrets. And whether she likes it or not, Olivia Clark is about to get dirty.
