Hey guys, got a question about this horse with thrush, so I'll explain real quick. We cleaned out the frog area really good, packed it with medication, and wrapped it up. The horse was pretty uncomfortable at first but after treatment, walking much better. Pretty good outcome overall.

So today we're working with this beautiful mare called Princess, and we're going to do a complete reset on her front hooves. Now, what we're seeing here is typical wear pattern, and I'm going to show you how we address that with proper trimming and fitting.

So I got a lot of questions about trimming flared hoofs, so let me explain real quick. When you see a flare, that's basically the hoof wall growing outward instead of straight down. We trim it back gradually, not all at once, so the horse can adjust properly and maintain balance.

So basically, I was working on this really, really difficult horse yesterday, and like, the horse moved suddenly while I was trimming. Didn't hurt myself this time though, but it was a bit scary. I'm getting better at dodging these things now, learning from my mistakes and all that.
