от Shahid JamilLet me share a story about someone God used in amazing ways — David. David was the youngest of eight brothers. Most days he cared for sheep out in the fields, playing music to keep them calm. One day God sent the prophet Samuel to David’s house. God said He had chosen one of Jesse’s sons to be the next king of Israel. Jesse proudly introduced his oldest sons — each tall and strong — and Samuel looked at them and thought, “These must be the ones!” But God whispered, “People look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart.”
After seven brothers passed by, Samuel asked, “Are these all your sons?” Jesse said, “There is still the youngest. He’s out with the sheep.” They quickly called David. When David arrived, smelling of sheep and sunshine, God told Samuel, “He is the one.” Right there, Samuel anointed David with oil, and God’s Spirit came powerfully upon him.
Later, when a giant named Goliath threatened Israel, David stepped forward. He didn’t wear heavy armor or carry a sword. Instead, he took the gifts God had already given him — courage, faith, and skill with a sling. With one stone, David defeated the giant.
David’s life shows us that God chooses and equips us before we even know what He’s planning. Your age doesn’t limit you. God sees your heart and has already placed gifts in you for His big assignment.
Just like David’s sling and music were part of his calling, you have special gifts — maybe drawing, inventing, helping others, or creating music and videos. Those gifts are clues to the mission God designed for you. In this course, we’ll help you use those gifts to build a My First Million plan — a social-impact business or project that changes lives and honors God.
Here’s the first building block: think about three gifts or talents you enjoy and one problem you’d love to help solve. For younger Kingdom Builders, it might be something simple like sharing toys with kids who don’t have many. For teens, it might be starting a tutoring club, launching a small clothing brand that gives back, or designing a recycling project.
Now, take your paper and draw a Gift Board. Write or draw three gifts or talents God has placed inside you and one problem you’d like to help fix. Decorate it with colors, shapes, or symbols. This Gift Board is the first part of your My First Million plan. Keep it safe — you’ll need it next week when we talk about Kingdom Prosperity.
I’m excited to see how God speaks to you this week and how your mission begins to take shape. I’ll meet you in Week 2 — So You Can Hear My Voice … He can hear Yours, and You Can Hear His … Because It’s Good For Us.
