Had this show in Memphis last summer, and wouldn't you know it, right in the middle of my set, this big ol' storm rolls in. Lightning hits something nearby, kills all the power except my mic. So there I am, standing in the dark, telling stories to keep folks entertained.

Sun’s barely up and I’m already hitting it hard, body aching but my spirit’s still holding strong. Living paycheck to paycheck ain’t easy, but providing for my family makes every broken bone worth it. Just a simple man doing what’s right in this tough world.

You know, Saturday nights in a small town, there's just something real special about that. People come out to hear country music, they're relaxing after a long week, and when I'm up there on stage, well, it just feels like home, it really does.

Well, I just want to thank everyone who came out to the show tonight. Y'all are the reason I've been able to do what I love for all these years. It means the world to me to see all these familiar faces out there supporting country music.

Listen here now, got something deep inside telling me truth. Lost in darkness but faith keeps calling, keeps pulling. Devil tries his tricks but we know better, yes we do. Sometimes memory fades like morning fog but soul stays strong, stays believing.

You know, it's quite amazing how art just sort of comes naturally when you're in the right mindset. I mean, I never really planned this career path, but somehow the creative process just keeps flowing, and I'm really grateful for that.
