por Pia GomezThis summer, in January, I traveled to Torres del Paine with my dad. We left Santiago very early in the morning heading to catch our plane. The truth is it was quite cold, and that day I remember I was wearing a red hoodie, jeans, and my white sneakers, which are my favorites. My mom had packed my backpack for the trip. My dad was wearing a hoodie and a cap that he really likes. We took a beautiful photo before getting on the plane. I remember I had a great time. Well, arriving in Puerto Natales, we stayed in a beautiful hotel where we also had a great time because we had a very nice room. That day it was quite cold. I remember the ice hitting my face from how cold it was, but I had a great time. I still enjoyed it. I love days like that. We ate a delicious pizza and drank some small Coca-Colas, which are my favorites. We went to explore the place, we went to see Puerto Natales, where there were some small palaces on a lake. It was beautiful. A very beautiful place. The next day we woke up very early because the van was going to pick us up to take us to the base where we would start walking and get to know the beautiful Torres del Paine. There were kilometers and kilometers we had to cover. We stayed in some domes that day too, some very nice domes that were there at the base. Well, we woke up and explored quite a bit, we walked and dressed according to the weather and also the hike. We wore outdoor sneakers, base layers, I had a royal blue windbreaker and pants that were special for trekking. My dad was also comfortable and dressed for the day. We walked and talked, telling very nice stories about life, about experiences we've had, and we laughed a lot. We enjoyed the landscape very much, lots of green vegetation, a beautiful lake, some mountains. The truth is the landscape was impressive, and I thoroughly enjoyed that experience with my dad. I will always keep those beautiful memories I lived that day and also the other days with him, which were five days we were on vacation, in my heart. We ate well, had a good time, we laughed. The truth is I really enjoyed those vacations. I will always carry them in my heart and I will repeat them again. They were the most beautiful ones with him. I love my dad very much and I thank him for those vacations.
