If a commercial company operated this way, they’d be bankrupt in a week. We really need to get back to first principles.

We have to be optimistic but, you know, move incredibly fast to solve these fundamental engineering challenges.

I think artificial intelligence is basically digital intelligence, and digital intelligence is evolving at an incredible rate. Like, if you look at the progress curve, it's exponential. We're approaching a point where AI will be smarter than humans at, well, pretty much everything.

I think it's incredibly important that we become a multi-planetary species. Actually, the goal is to extend the light of consciousness beyond Earth. If we don't, the long-term survival of humanity is at risk. It's about being excited for the future, you know? It's really cool.

I think it’s important to have a future that is exciting. If what you're building is essential for humanity, you just... you have to ignore the odds. You look at the first principles and you keep pushing, because giving up is just not in my DNA.

Look, if we analyze the exponential growth of AI capabilities, we're going to hit a point where the computational power basically becomes infinite relative to biological intelligence. It's just a matter of solving the optimization problem.
